Assurance Intern
In spite of the short span of three months, my experience as an assurance intern in Baker Tilly has been nothing short of amazing. Deployed for field work on the second day of my internship, I was finally able to bridge what I had learnt in school and what was applied in the industry. I was subsequently attached to several other audits including MNCs with multi-billion revenues. Some of my job scope include sampling, vouching, performing proces walkthrough, test of details, test of control and reconcillations.

Organized the Shanghai Singapore Business Association (SSBA, now known as SingCham Shanghai) annual Business Forum.
Led the inaugural hackathon segment which saw over 30 startups and student team compete to solve real-life business problems posed by our case sponsors.

Marketing Executive
Interned as a marketing executive in Y3 Technologies(Y3) Shanghai’s office under NOC Shanghai. It was a steep learning curve as marketing as well as the way business is done in China are pretty different than in Singapore. Some of the my job scope include: designing marketing collaterals, web maintenance, event marketing, copywriting and WeChat marketing.
I was fortunate to be able to work directly with the then CEO of Y3 as well as the senior colleagues based in Shanghai.

NOC Student
The NUS Overseas College (NOC) Program is an entrepreneurial immersion programme where students embark on a work-study internship at their chosen country. I interned at Y3 Technologies, a supply chain tech firm as a marketing executive and studied at Fudan University. During the one year programme, I had the opportunity to participate as well as organize several entrepreneurial and startup events. I was also an active volunteer of several Singapore-centric events hosted by Overseas Singaporean Unit (OSU), Overseas Singaporean Group (OSG) and Singapore-Shanghai Business Association (SSBA).

The Everest Base Camp (EBC) was something I had long wanted to visit since my JC days. 5 years later, I found myself landing on Lukla (the world most dangerous airport) and walking the 130km round trek to EBC with my best friend. The amazing locals we have lived with, Singaporeans we have met, countless friends we have made, and breathtaking views we have seen; it was well worth the journey!
Kudos to my two beloved Sherpas for making it possible!

A rollercoaster ride from enlistment day at Tekong to the last day at 4SIR when we strolled out of camp with countless memories. Arguments, fights, near-misses, typhoons (in Taiwan), perfect test scores, eczema, marksman, overnight marches, you name it, we got it.
